Knuts about Knitting!

Happy Mother’s Day! May 8, 2009

Filed under: Knits for Family — knitspirations @ 7:17 pm

This Mother’s Day I’ve made the two mummies in my life (my mum, Wendy, and my mother in law, Lynne) knitted gifts.

Firstly, I’ve made a Victorian Shoulder Shawl for Lynne. I used Rustic 12 ply in Green Tweed from Bendigo Woollen Mills. It’s knitted up very smooshy and warm. Lynne is a red head so the green will look lovely on her.

And for my mum, I’ve made a Spiral Cowl . I’ve used 8ply Merino in Plum from The Knittery. So soft and lovely. Mum will love this colour!

I also made a bookmark for my Nan. I used Lorna’s Laces sock yarn in Bittersweet.

My little boy has started preschool this year and came home with this pressie for me. He painted the pot and made the card himself. Awww.
