Vanilla Soakers

I’m really excited to be a licensed knitter and seller of Kelly Brooker’s “Vanilla Soaker”. It’s a fantastic pattern – the ribbed gusset gives lots of room for boosting your modern cloth nappies and the added short rows in the back area gives plenty of room for those cute bubbly cloth nappy behinds!
I’ve made more [...]

A wintery update

I’ve not done many updates lately because I’ve been busy knitting! Here are a few photos and write ups of what’s been keeping me busy

This sweet little newborn set went to my friend, Rhonda, who recently had a baby girl, Gabrielle. Rhonda was aiming for something other than the traditional [...]

Embroidery the Knitspirations way

Something I really enjoy is embellishing and embroidery on my finished knitted projects. In the past I read up on how to do different techniques such as duplicate stitch and lazy daisy stitch and over time have settled into my own technique that I feel comfortable with. I would hazard a guess that it’s somewhere [...]

Happy Mother’s Day!

This Mother’s Day I’ve made the two mummies in my life (my mum, Wendy, and my mother in law, Lynne) knitted gifts.
Firstly, I’ve made a Victorian Shoulder Shawl for Lynne. I used Rustic 12 ply in Green Tweed from Bendigo Woollen Mills. It’s knitted up very smooshy and warm. Lynne is a red head [...]

Organic Merino Gradients and yarn sale. Now THAT’S something to be knitspired by!

“Treliske” means “a place of trees” and is a certified organic farm in New Zealand that produces the softest and squishiest merino yarn and fleeces. It is the perfect yarn base for Knitspirations’ latest colourways.

“Wattle Grove” is a subtle hand painted skein. 8ply, organic merino, gentle citrus tones. Mmm! “Wattle Grove” weighs approximately 100g.

Kylie has been busy crafting

The lovely Kylie recently bought my “Seashells” colourway from Ozebaby and passed on some photos of her finished project. She did such a beautiful job on her son’s longies and I was so happy with how the colourway knitted up for her.
